Sage and Sweetgrass coming to Bishop’s Landing
Sage & Sweetgrass is the newest addition to the retail mix in Bishop’s Landing on the Halifax waterfront. “We are delighted to have Sage & Sweetgrass join us as retail partners,” said Colin Beiswanger, Commercial Leasing Manager for Southwest Properties. “Their expertise and dedication to their business is evident, and their addition will further enhance the vibrant retail mix at Bishop’s Landing.”
Established in 2016 and owned by Nova Scotian entrepreneur Kelly Valentine, Sage & Sweetgrass is set to offer a curated collection of natural beauty and wellness products, as well as aromatherapy-based lifestyle products catering to all.
“We are thrilled to expand our business to Bishop’s Landing, welcoming both our customers from the Halifax side locally, and from around the world,” Kelly said.
With over 25 years in the beauty industry Kelly is an aromatherapist with extensive knowledge and expertise in the self-care industry. She has utilized her skills to develop and procure a range of body, bath, skin, and home products.
Drawing from her experience as both a hairstylist and business owner, Kelly recognized the importance of clean beauty solutions after witnessing colleagues and customers suffering from health issues due to product ingredients. Motivated by her own concerns and a desire to give women an alternative to mainstream skincare, she began carefully developing & procuring a special selection of self-care products.
Starting as a private studio, Sage & Sweetgrass’ mission is simple; to deliver premium self-care solutions embodying the essence of their private label lifestyle brand, while committing to environmentally conscious and socially responsible practices.
Strategically located at Bishop’s Landing on Lower Water Street, Sage & Sweetgrass’ expansion will enjoy a prime location on the Halifax waterfront. Home to the former Audrey’s Too plant shop, the space occupies 416 square feet nestled amongst other fine retailers such as Pane e Circo, MXM Fashion, and URBN-ish.
